Steve has written comedy pieces for commercials, theater, radio, TV, websites, print and a weekly Internet series.
While in Iowa, he co-created
and wrote for the radio show KPUT (K-PUT). In Chicago, he co-created the sketch
comedy stage revues Postage From The Edge or Lick It And Stick It for
Player's Workshop and Keeping Our Day Jobs for The Second City
Conservatory.
He next scripted his critically acclaimed sketch show Bugged By The
Millennium or Et Tu, Y2K? He followed that with two solo sketch comedy
showsTRUST FUNNIN' and the sequel TRUST
FUNNIN' 2: You Gotta Be Kidding (called a "Best Bet" by
the Chicago Red Eye and Metromix).
He wrote for the Jimmy John's Sandwich Shops "Ask Jimmy" radio commercials and print ads. And in the past decade, he has written parody and satire on the KPUT Komedy Korner website (see samples below).
Currently, Steve writes for The Movie Guys movie previews shows and their weekly showcasts. Watch new comedy episodes every week at Funny Or Die and on YouTube.
Steve also worked as a
Creative Consultant on scripts for the comedic short films Lisa's Training
Purse and the award-winning Fitting,
which has toured the North American film festival circuit.
